Brian Inkster
Brian is the founder of Inksters. He is a Solicitor and Notary Public.
Brian obtained the distinction of being named Solicitor of the Year at the Law Awards of Scotland in 2006.
His long running, ground breaking, legal case involving the question of a servitude right to park, Moncrieff -v- Jamieson, came to a successful conclusion for our clients in the House of Lords in 2007. Brian has lectured on the case for the Universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Strathclyde and is a visiting lecturer on the Law of Servitudes at the University of Strathclyde.
Brian concentrates on property related work and has a special interest in Crofting Law being the Hon Secretary of the Crofting Law Group and a regular contributor at Crofting Law Conferences.
Brian also has an active interest in technology, social media and Web 2.0 in relation to running a law firm. He is often asked to provide presentations or comment on such matters. Brian is a member of the Communications Group of the Law Society of Scotland and a Tutor in Business, Ethics, Finance and Practice Awareness at the University of Glasgow. He blogs on the Past, Present and Future Practice of Law at The Time Blawg.
In November 2009 Brian and his wife, Nicola Walls, took part in the Habitat for Humanity Global Village Challenge in Argentina.
